Maureen Mitchell is an artist and designer based in Bridge of Allan, near Stirling in Central Scotland.  Much of her work is inspired by the beautiful surrounding countryside.  She loves experimenting with different creative processes including photography, printmaking, collage and watercolours.  

A graduate from Edinburgh College of Art, Maureen has a BA (Hons) degree in Design and post-graduate diplomas in Jewellery & Silversmithing and Graphic Design.  After many years working as a jeweller, her return to college to study graphic design inspired the creation of a range of designer prints, cards and collages.  

Her work is constantly evolving using different media, but a recent introduction to printmaking at the Glasgow Print Studio, in particular collagraph printmaking, has been a particular joy.  She joined the Glasgow Print Studio in 2010.
