This group show of local artists kicked off to a busy start today despite the gloomy weather! There is a wide variety of artwork on display including jewellery and a video installation by Ann Shaw (in the pulpit). The "Matriarch" deals with three generations of women's hands and adds overall to the atmospheric experience of visiting St Saviours Church. The show is on all week till Saturday 18th from 10am-5pm Tues, Wed & Sat, open till 7pm today, Wed and Friday.
A small selection of artwork by Maureen Mitchell and Gill Hunt on display at Chatters Restaurant, Dunoon from 9 June for 6 weeks. Collagraph prints, collages and photography are on display. All the work is for sale. The restaurant is in a very central location in Dunoon and is very welcoming. The food is delicious too. "Rosie Macinnes' excellent restaurant in the town rather than the esplanade is, by itself, a good reason for getting the ferry. Bar menu and a la carte, and a small garden for drinks or lunch on a good day. Pete Irvine, Scotland the Best" http://www.chattersrestaurant.co.uk/
MMDesign was founded by Maureen Mitchell in 2009 and has been building up a clientele from websites and various trade events.
