What is sea glass?
Sea glass originates from discarded broken glass that has been tumbled smooth through the ocean for decades to hundreds of years. The corrosive salt water environment, combined with the erosion from surf, sand, and rocks, smooth and round the sea glass, creating an esthetic, delicate treasure.
As well as an interest in other crafts such as needle-felting, painting, sewing and beading, Korie works in research to develop assistive technology for the blind. A very busy and creative lady!

Mairi lives on the stunning West Coast of Scotland, by the sea, where she inspired by the views from her windows, and the colours and shapes around her!
Mairi and I studied jewellery and silvermithing together at Edinburgh College of Art in the early 80's and have remained friends ever since!
Recently Mairi has developed a passion for feltmaking which she combines with her love of lustre glass beads. She has recently opened a new etsy shop where you can buy her work at very reasonable prices.

Well there are not many names left to choose from on one of the biggest online shopping sites in the world, Etsy, so I decided to adopt an american style name for my newly re-opened shop. I have listed a variety of prints and cards on Etsy and if you want to buy you just have to register as a member and pay using Paypal. It is very similar to Ebay. Watch out - its also compulsive if you like handcrafted, vintage or quirky items. As a seller, it is such a huge site if you want to be noticed, you have to spend time networking it, much like twitter and facebook. With all this networking stuff its hard to fit in the time to do the business!

Just to invite you to have a look at my new Etsy shop. This is a new venture for me and it seems that half the battle is to get people to actually visit your page! I'm not sure if I have chosen the right "key words" to attract online attention so if you can help spread the word I would be very grateful.
